The Missouri Animal Control Association (MACA) was founded in 1977 for the purpose of providing professional training, education and support for Animal Care & Control professionals across Missouri and neighboring States. Our membership includes animal control officers, humane investigators, law enforcement officers, veterinarians, animal shelter managers, and many others working in the field of Animal Care and Control. Our members share the common goal of improving the welfare of animals through education, law enforcement, and legislation. The association’s primary focus is to provide access to training and networking for its members.
The 2021 MACA Annual Training Conference will be held October 13-15, 2021 at the Camden on the Lake Resort.
Speakers at the conference will have the opportunity to network with animal welfare professionals from all over the state of Missouri.
We are currently in search of speakers on topics such as: Verbal judo, social media, wildlife care and control, hands on capture techniques, large animal cases, farm animal care, exotic animal care, courtroom testimony, report writing, fatal dog bites, negotiating private/public partnerships in animal welfare operations, media relations, shelter operations, self-defense, and stress debriefing. We are open to other animal welfare related topics.
