The Missouri Animal Control Association (MACA) was founded in 1977 for the purpose of providing professional training, education and support for Animal Care & Control professionals across Missouri and neighboring States. Our membership includes animal control officers, humane investigators, law enforcement officers, veterinarians, animal shelter managers, and many others working in the field of Animal Care and Control. Our members share the common goal of improving the welfare of animals through education, law enforcement, and legislation. The association’s primary focus is to provide access to training and networking for its members.

The 2019 MACA Annual Training conference will be held September 18-20, 2019

We are currently in search of speakers on topics such as: Verbal judo, animal shelter veterinary care, wildlife care and control, hands on capture techniques, large animal cases, public relations events for animal control, courtroom testimony, report writing, officer safety, negotiating private/public partnerships in animal welfare operations, media relations, shelter operations, self-defense, officer safety, and animal CPR/first aid. We will consider other animal welfare related topics.

Speakers at the conference will have the opportunity to network with animal welfare professionals from all over the state of Missouri.
